Mijas Costa is about a thirty minute drive from Malaga international Airport which operates flights from over 120 airports spread around the world.

There are 17 Airports within Spain that offer domestic flights to Malaga and over 30 UK and Ireland Airports that have regular flights to Malaga. The flying time from the UK is about 2 hours and 30 minutes, making it very easily accessible for a holiday or just a weekend break.

Over the years Malaga airport has grown and plans continue for further expansion, in response the continuous increase in numbers of travellers. Plans are already underway for the construction of another terminal to supplement the two currently in service. A second runway is also planned.

The airport is next to the main A7 coast road that links to the AP7 Autopista del Sol motorway for Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola , Mijas, Marbella , Puerto Banus, Estepona, Sotogrande and Gibraltar to the west and Malaga , Nerja and Granada to the east. Construction is also well under way at Malaga Airport for another terminal to complement the two already in service, together with a second runway.

Motorway connections on the Costa del Sol are excellent with the choice of travelling on well maintained fast toll roads or normal motorways. There is a fast train service from the airport to Fuengirola, and again there are plans to extend this service into Marbella .

The bus company on the Costa del Sol operates regular and reliable services linking all the resorts along the coast.
